![]() ![]() "Now I will warn you that anyone who’s going to play like this? It’s going to be hard. And that means, if you go straight to Ultimate difficulty you will be able to get all 55 devotion points in one single playthrough.” In Forgotten Gods we are not only enabling every single shrine that is in the world on every difficulty in the game, we’re going to be adding new shrines to the world in places you haven’t before had shrines. “And that is the other thing that comes with these tokens. You will immediately get all of the inventory bags which you would have unlocked and you immediately get all of the riftgates on the lower difficulties.” And that means you immediately get access to new difficulties, you immediately get all of the attribute and skill point rewards that any quest on lower difficulties would have given you which means you don’t have to go back to Normal, you don’t have to go back to Elite, if you want to start on Ultimate you will immediately get those points. So I’ve got a Champion’s Merit that unlocks Elite and I’ve got the Saviour’s Merit that unlocks Ultimate. What they do is allow you to unlock higher difficulties on your new characters. What are these items you might ask? They are Merits, similar to the Crucible, you now get to use these items in the main campaign. “In my inventory are two new items we’re going to be introducing with the Forgotten Gods expansion. So I’m reposting it here for easier access for new players. It was also in my transcription of said dev stream, but it’s buried in the really long Forgotten Gods What We Know So Far Part II thread so not easy to find. They're pretty much useless, expensive for what they are, and are not included in the definitive edition, so keep your money. This information was never in any of the Grim Misadventures, only in the dev stream of 7th December 2018. I'd say the definitive edition is what reaper of souls was to diablo 3, except the base game didn't completely choke at launch.Īnd the supporter packs.well, they're cosmetic and the stuff looks quite unique, but it's not the only cool looking stuff in the game, far from it. The crucible may also be fun to change things up a bit but unrelated to the base experience, so your mileage may vary with this one, but the bundle including it is still cheaper than the expansions and game bought separately. i mean, it's quite a bit more content: two campaigns about the length of the main quest, a follow up to the base game's stories and characters, 3 whole classes in a game that lets you combine them so a lot more builds are possible, a lot more endgame stuff to do, more monsters, more factions, more armors, more secrets and sidequests, a way to change equipment appearance with any item of the same type you ever collected, and the equivalent of diablo 3's rifts. The DLC's included in the definitive edition are very good. I usually hop around normal and elite grabbing easy devotion points for more xp before going to ultimate. ![]() Ultimate can still be tricky at that point. If not, looking at the xp chart, you'll probably hit ~20ish or so. If you have xp potions to blow on all 3 difficulties, you can get to ~25. ![]() I just don't bother.įinally, hop over to ultimate and go into devils crossing to talk to the respec person. There's probably other easy to get devotions. Last on elite, I usually hop over to the rotting croplands and make a b-line for the devotion shrine there. Turn it all in, turn in the aether crystal and scrap quests. Grab the devotion, also go save that guy in the house southwest of the waypoint to get there. If you're build is decent and slightly twinked out, you can also hop on over and kill the first boss in the burial cave on elite as well. Hop on over to elite and you'll be able to enter devils crossing and talk to the respec person for a couple more levels. Enter the main area of devils crossing and talk to the respec person. Turn that in, turn in the aether crystal and scrap quests. This video has locations of some notes that are pretty easy to get on normal to get a few quick levels to start: įrom there, bounce over to the first boss at the burial cave, kill him, grab the devotion. The following assumes you have some general materials and gear to work with. Once you use the merit to unlock ultimate you get all waypoints on Normal and Elite opened. Released in 2016, it currently has two expansions: Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods. This ARPG features complex character development, hundreds of unique items, crafting and quests with choice & consequence.
